Spit it out
It's Matt's birthday today so I was up early to give him his gifts before I had to dash to Euston to get the train to Manchester. I've been interviewing all day and I'm glad we were successful and found someone great to join the team. I went out tonight for drinks and dinner with a friend from work and then had a walk around Manchester city centre before heading back to the hotel.
I really like the unique architecture in Manchester which is dominated by stunning red brick buildings with beautiful facades. This picture was taken outside Manchester Town Hall and it part of a water fountain that was built for the Diamond Jubilee of Queen Victoria (1897) and was returned to the square in 1997 having been kept in storage for a period before that.
(Happy Birthday Matt!)
