Snow Shield
The day seemed brighter than usual as I opened my eyes... but the alarms were still twittering away as though I had not slept in. Well, no more than the usual tapping the snooze button until I could focus enough to read the words on the screen.
With mixed feeling I realised I was up in good time to get ready for work but the bright light was the reflection of snow...
I leapt out of bed and pulled on clothes as though a big kid... but not for making snowmen, but to get the car started to melt the potential ice on the windscreen. Turns out it wasn't as bad as it looked as the snow was pretty fresh. Meant I had time to load up with 2 boxes, scatter salt over the steps down to the garden from my door and to have a coffee (in travel mug) ready to roll.
I tried the moving boxes into the flat at lunchtime thing again and was promptly terrified to see bits of the fuse box around the place and wires hanging out of places that they weren't before. I popped in the boxes and left somewhat disturbed. I later found out that the electrician was making sure things were all up to scratch for our official move in date of the coming weekend.
