Cyclamen
Sometimes I feel as though I am dressed like Nanook of the North when I leave home and slip and slide down our road and then feel overdressed when I discover no ice or snow in our town centre or in Edinburgh. So it was today when I left this morning and was relieved to think that all the snow would have melted by the time I got home. But no, the road at the front was like an ice rink and there was still a little snow in the garden. The plants were trying to peep out from under the snow and all I could find were the taller ones. Since taking this photo more snow has fallen but any that falls tonight should melt tomorrow so the local children will not have the chance to go sledging after school.
