Fly in the heat

This was one of about a dozen or so little metallic flies all trying to get a drink from the paving slabs in the garden after watering the pots...just shows how hot it was that they seemed that desperate!

I took quite a lot of shots, as these things were tiny (about 5-6mm I guess), and pretty fast - happy to have caught one in a reasonable state of focus and exposure!
