Today after some morning chores and errands we picked Miles up from school early to head to Grandpa C and Mimi's house to get ready and watch the college championship game. We don't often root for the ducks...but did today!
The girls were adorable in their 'same but different' outfits and got lots of play and snuggle time. Miles had a great time playing with Mimi and got a special football cupcake for dessert and watched some 'playgrounds' aka Sprout in her bedroom while we watched the game. Sadly the ducks lost and on the way home Miles said, "But I wore yellow and green for the ducks! How did they lose then?"
We also had one of the funniest conversations with Miles on the way home. One I wish I would have recorded! He was talking about nothing in particular when he stopped and said, "oh, I lost my words, I can't find them" then silence before he said, "oh! I found them! Mom I like skittlehoppers, I mean grass hoppers!" "They go boing boing in the grass and are so cute. I also like ladybugs."
Sometimes he's just too adorable & funny for words...
