CNY Speciality Foods

Planned a day up in Shenzhen today with a few friends. Just as well too as it was cold, wet and miserable here most of the day, so being indoors in a mall was just fine!

Got to enjoy some delicious Peking Duck and other goodies, making up for a missed opportunity last week.

As we were walking out of the restaurant I spotted this display of turnip cakes, which are quite tasty actually. They are usually cut into small pieces and fried. Martin and I like it anyway.

Back to DB only to find darling Martin was on his way home from work as he wasn't feeling well. Burning eyes, runny nose and feeling feverish. Yay, he's sick and can be home tomorrow.
