Batter Up
Per Rambler's Tale's birthday request, some friends from work and elsewhere met at Cages. It's a restaurant/bar/batting cage combination. When I was explaining the idea of batting cages to my Chinese coworker, she clarified, "You hit an imaginary ball, like Wii right?" "Nope. It's a real ball and bat." Luckily for us, they had a range of pitching speeds and ball sizes. This friend and I stuck to large softballs and slow pitching machines. She didn't do bad for her first time ever.
