Yarny Goodness!!

My friend Stacy and I hang out and knit. We try to hang out and knit once a week, on Wednesday afternoon, and call our hang out and knit time "yarny goodness." It has been nearly 6 weeks since our last yarny goodness because of various unpredicted interruptions to our schedules. Stacy wasn't available this Wednesday and I'm not available next Wednesday, so we decided enough was enough and scheduled yarny goodness for today instead.

This past Christmas, I gave Stacy a membership to a yarn of the month club. It is actually her combo Christmas / birthday present since it is for 5 months, started right after Christmas and ends just before her birthday. Unbeknownst to me, she had already decided I was getting a combo Christmas / birthday present involving multiple skeins of yarn. She asked me if I preferred to get them all at once or in installments. I chose installments because it is so fun to get yarn!!!

This picture is the most recent installment, which Stacy gave me at yarny goodness this afternoon. It is approximately 154 yards of fingering weight BFL that Stacy spun herself!

I like how the background came out. I took the picture at the Barnes and Noble where we meet for yarny goodness and that orange is just the table top in the cafe. But I think it made an awesome contrasting backdrop for the yarn.
