Sunny interlude

We were lucky this afternoon, just as we went out for walkies the sun struggled through and we had a golden moment.
The ground is completely saturated with water, and there is a new river flowing out from the pond.
Pepper made an impressive mud slide through it in pursuit of her ball, while Merlin and I carefully paddled across.
What we need now is a month of Arctic drought . Though perhaps I should be careful what I wish for!
