The Beach

What a difference one day makes. We went back to Grant Park today & most of the icy "teeth" that were formed on the chain link fence are gone!  It only got up to 17 degrees today, but apparently that was warm enough to melt them! The Lake, however, has started forming big sheets of ice further out from the shore, & the smaller pieces of ice closer to shore have increased as well. If you look closely in this picture, you can see pieces of ice all along the ground as well as in the water. The sun deserted us about an hour ago, & thick black clouds have covered the sky! Hope they aren't all full of snow!
(Our Packers won yesterday, in spite of Aaron Rodgers' partial calf muscle tear, so next week they'll play the Seattle Seahawks for the NFC Championship. The winner will move on to the Super Bowl! Next week will be a tough game but we're hoping for a different outcome than they had when they played them in week 1 & lost!  Go Pack!!)
