An Edwardian fireplace

What a beautiful piece of iron work. This Edwardian fireplace is as far as I know an original, in a house built in 1903. The house is still occupied although the fireplace is now only decorative and the house has the joy of central heating. How cold the room must have been in winter when the only heating came from such a small fire.
