Woodcock in the city

M found this Eurasian Woodcock, a wader on a street on Södermalm, Stockholm this afternoon. Incredible but true!

It was very confused and possibly injured, but a small rescue squad (two ladies and a man in their twenties) promised to take good care of it.

How exciting when something really unexpected happens...
