The hanging Judge...

...Jeffreys used to frequent the Prospect of Whitby pub in Wapping in the C17 (although at the time it was known as the Devil's Tavern). This noose hangs outside as a reminder!
I met a couple of guiding colleagues there today to start planning the festival of river walks we're putting on at the end of April. 
Why does it always rain when I go to Wapping? (although I did manage an hour of taking photos before it started today...)
