Kirkwall is Booming

Well we were dancing in the Town Hall this morning when there was a large flash and immediate super sonic boom.  Lightening put the Clydesdale Bank, the Town Hall Kitchens and Tullochs garage and the top end of Albert Street out of action immediately.  Un-phased the dance instructor switched the CD player over to batteries and we danced on.  Mix of haily showers and snow outside.
