All for the chickens

Pruning back a rather overgrown hedge of privet (Ligustrum Ovalifolium) in a chicken run today. This hedge is brilliant at providing cover for the chickens if they choose to stay in the run but it had become rather large and shaded out the sun too much. I planted this run with a mixture of grass and wild flowers last year which amazingly did quite well perhaps down to the fact that the chickens have free range over the whole garden and left them alone.
