Silbury Hill

It may be just over a year since I blipped Silbury Hill (can't be certain as tags aren't functioning in a meaningful way), although I have passed by or stopped there a number of times since. Unlike last year when the footpath was impassably flooded, it was possible to take the footpath that circles the mound at a distance, although it was very muddy in places where it had been churned up by sheep and illicit bicycles. This view was taken to the north-east of the pudding-shaped monument, beside the River Kennet.

It was extremely windy, which seemed to please the crows, the only birds that had ventured into the air, and the decision to mono-fy the result was almost inevitable given the desultory lack of colour to begin with. By the time I got back to the car, about an hour later, it was dark, and I drove home listening to the musical selections of Pauline Black from the Selecter on 6 Music.
