Saturday night feast
I wasn't up for doing much today after a long week at work but I did manage to make a lovely meal for K and I consisting of a coconut pork curry and some basil salad spring rolls. To compliment the spring rolls I made a sweet, salty and sour dipping sauce which in combination was very refreshing. Although it took longer than I thought it was fun to prepare the filling and wrap it in the rice paper. I couldn't find any Thai basil but I did find a type called Isabella basil that has a distinct aniseed flavour that went well with the fresh veg and vermicelli noodles. Another culinary success! I'm now off to enjoy an evening of movie watching!
