The Hardhat Diver

The Divine Ms Connie and I had a wonderful day. It started with a lazy Sunday morning, then on to Clearwater to pick up a  cherished ring, lunch, and a drive to Tarpon Springs with plenty of hugs and laughter thrown in for good measure.

Tarpon Springs was settled by Greek families who brought traditions of sponge fishing with them. It continues to have a scenic working waterfront filled with shops and traditional Greek restaurants and bakeries. My blip today is the memorial to the hardhat sponge divers that is down by the docks.
