LightBox

So I made my lightbox. It's ok I guess. I did manage to get some shots with a completely white background...... without showing any edges of paper..... sometimes.
A work in progress perhaps.

I've also discovered that I don't like experimenting or taking photos the way I do with my fella present. I know he means well, but it ends up with him giving me 'advice' while he faffs around with the settings on the camera, finally taking the camera himself, to show me how to do it his way properly. It ends with me feeling a tad incompetant and biting my tongue. (No easy feat :)

Anyhoo...... guess what I bought on Friday :)
A new 70-300mm zoom lens!!!! I'd spotted it the week before. Because of its price, (£97) I had one of those fuck it why not moments.
(Apologies if anyone is offended by the strikethrough, but it's the exact words that went through my head :)
It's a Sigma lens with a macro setting on the lens with a 1:2 ratio. I figured rather than spending a ton of money on a better macro lens, I'd be as well starting out with this one seeing as I'm a novice. And having a zoom lens is handy anyway. See how I justify things to myself? :)

I haven't played much with it yet, didn't get a flippin chance to! but my fella took a really fab shot of a raindrop on my kitchen window.......... Y'know that saying? .........
