Tangles

All along the shore in the village there are piles of tangles - kelp stalks - washed up by the gales.  In days gone by they were dried on frames and sold in vast quantities as fertiliser.  No body round here seems to do it any more, but on some beaches you can see the remains of the racks they used.

Chilly with the odd sleety shower today, but nothing like the gales of the last couple of days.  Spent the day catching up with people and jobs, not that there was much to do, Mike is pretty good at keeping on top of things!  Ollie probably wasn't much help but he's been full of beans today, and not wanting to let me out of his sight!
