2.5 million
That's how many people were in the streets in France today, including 1.5 million in Paris alone. And not only French people either. I'll post photos in Flickr later - probably not until tomorrow- and you'll see other languages than French on the signs.
It's been very difficult to even get to the start of the march. Actually that was our march: getting to the Place de la République which you can see here. Incredibly packed, everywhere.
It was good to be here.
Edit: it seems like the total number of people on the streets today is actually in excess of 3.3 million... And that the number of people in the streets of Paris cannot be accounted for, because we went far and wide around the streets where we were supposed to go, and many of us couldn't be accounted for!
