Light

It was lovely to wake and realise there was a light on out on the landing. A joy to turn on taps and get hot water.
I knew the men had been working down the hill till after 1am both nights and in dreadful weather.
Some of our neighbours still have no electricity but so far it has stayed on for us.
I would not have liked to live in a modern all electric house, which is what many of the houses down in the village have.
We still have some trees to fix but our road is clear now.
One neighbour has an electric door on her garage so her car was stuck inside, and the village shop has recently had an electric door fitted so they couldn't open!. Modernisation is not so wonderful!
We have snow today (better that the howling wind) so the birds are really hungry as Mr woodpigeon Is explaining in this shot!
