This month we have three family birthdays. Eve will be two on the 20th January and her party is a week today. We certainly will be there! Eve has brought so much fun and laughter into our lives. Her Uncle Andrew is a total slave to her. I know  Auntie Fifi and Uncle Lyall enjoy all her antics and adore her. Grandpa is totally round her little finger and I am as besotted with Eve as I am with the handsome Euan (who has had such a lovely haircut!!) 

No doubt Eve will be dressed beautifully for her party with all sorts of accessories! Looking forward to it already.

Went through to Mum's this morning in spite of weather warnings. Got her supplies from Tesco and then back for a catch up on the weeks events. Later Andrew texted us to say the snow was lying at our place so we tried to make a hasty retreat. Mum had other ideas and insisted that we put her lovely garden bench in the garage because of the awful weather.When the bench was put in place we put a bike lock round one of the legs in case it "walked"! No one could remember the combination to release it. Mum brought out all sorts of tools for us to try and release it. By this time it was heavy sleet and the three of us were getting soaked. Undeterred ,Mum proceeded to the coal house and produced her axe (reminds me of someone!!) She had a couple of "chaps" with the axe and then John managed to release the lock with wire cutters. Job done and garden seat safely in garage. Phew!
