Introspection
It is not often that one discovers a previously unknown artist or photographer whose work touches a chord and inspires new ideas. The work of Minor White in the book I referenced on Friday has done just that for me.
His work is rich in spiritual metaphor, tense with personal introspection and seems to be seeking release from self doubt through creative acts. His work is in mono of course, but I don't yet have enough control over digital mono to be able to produce a satisfactory outcome so here is another attempt at homage to Minor White. Colour, yes, but a reduced palette and I have tried to catch some introspective darkness in this lush woodland I have blipped before.
