Colourscape

One of several fab interactive light installations at Canary Wharf Festival of Light this weekend. Each of these lights is a plastic drinking cup holding an LED. It was designed and made by members of Leeds Hackspace - one of these new(ish) create and make organisations that are all about sharing skills, machinery and ideas in order to actually produce something collaboratively. I love the principle of these practical creative hubs and if this is anything to go by I also love the end results. It's the sort of thing I think AlfeeTee could enjoy and contribute a lot to, if only there were an extra couple of days built into every weekend! Maybe they could make a couple of extra days out of some string and sticky-backed plastic as their next project...
