Larry Niven, Prophet

I was rereading Lucifer's Hammer by Larry Niven and Jerry Pournelle on the train this morning when I came across this piece of near-prophecy. Pity they were only 37 years out, referring of course to the probe, and not a massive comet wiping out civilisation!
