A wander in the Dell
K & R were heading out for a walk so I decided to meet them at the Water of Leith. I got there before them so read my book for a while in my favourite tree. I got a stern look from a jogger and amusement from a little child. When they arrived we headed to one of my favourite parts of the Dell. When we arrived, it was clear that people had been there recently, sadly they'd been irresponsible. There were the remains of a fire which we ensured was fully out and litter was strewn everywhere. We had no way to take the rubbish away with us so we bagged it up with the carriers they'd also discarded, weighted them down and reported it once we were home. Before the Trust could get out to clear it up, the Dell Faeries had been along and cleared it.
We had a nice paddle in the river, again it was so tempting just to dive in to the lovely pool of water held in the river bend. Eventually we meandered back via the mermaids grotto. I love these little ferns that grow in walls.
