Pohutakawa Tree

Or Southern Rata. This is the only photo I took on that day as was travelling up to The Catlin's area which is South East Otago.
I grew up in this area and just love going back. It is a beautiful area and I never tire of it. Native bush, superb waterfalls, splendid beaches and bird life. I expected a lot more of theses trees to be in bloom but was about a week early.
