Richmond Park 9 miler
SR heading down sawyers hill on the way to roehampton gate with the shard and the city in the distance. The longest run I have done since october. There was a certain satisfaction running back up the hill into the very strong headwind and rain of beating the elements. Great way to start they day.
It got even better in the afternoon when quins thrashed tigers 32-12. Once quins sorted out their discipline they were always going to win this with tigers backs not looking like a threat at all. Quins place kicking was poor but it didnt matter as they scored 4 tries. The final one to get the bonus point was quite amazing and happen right in front of us. With the clock ticked down to zero from a scrum mike brown broke through the line and made good ground into the 22 just as he was tackled he look to pass and there doesnt seem to be anything on but then like a bat out of hell on a perfectly timed run tim swiel flys through. Brown pops him the ball and he is in under the posts!
Many times over the last 15 or so years SR and i have watched tigers bear quins and only occasionally is there a quins win. This one was the most comprehensive.
