Mystery of Yale
Beyond the medieval style security gates which resemble the gateway to the palace of Royal dignitaries or the castle of King Arthur himself, the grounds of Yale University in New Haven Connecticut offers a glimpse inside one of the most prestigious halls of the academia within all of Western Civilizations.
This shot captures the medieval architecture of the gates which conceals many of the sprawling courtyards of a scenically rich Ivy League campus. The depth of field in this shot highlights the short tunnels that lead to the confines of the institutions massive structures.
A student can be seen walking several courtyards over in this image, as well as falling snow drift can be seen, just beyond the passage of the initial tunnel. A very mysterious place that I continue to find fascinating! More images from this shoot here: Yale University Campus
