DEMOB HAPPY
Teaching in the morning then a visit to the hospital and numerous mundane domestic tasks, but in the last half hour, the holiday spirit has soared along with the weather forecast for tomorrow. So, pieces made ('sandwiches spread' for the non-Scots among you), - check, map and ferry timetable - check, compact camera battery charged - check, waterproofs and rather fetching rain hat - check, warm clothes - check, blister pack - check, compass - check, pal's phone number - check...all ready for the next section of the Arran Coastal Way! I would like to point out that the compass is vital so that when my whitened bones are found they will say I was properly equipped - actually, as long as we keep the sea on our left hand side we can't go far wrong!
It's the calm before the storm - next week's diary is absolutely CRAZY! How does that keep happening when I am self-employed and semi-retired?
THREE THINGS TO BE GRATEFUL FOR:
*My sick friend is a bit better this week - be a long time till she gets home, but there is progress
*Lovely and totally undeserved comments on yesterday's dandelion - many thanks!
*A wonderful, real , handwritten, snail mail letter from Fido (cake baker, environmentalist, letter writer and mum to two lively boys)
