Happy playing with a stick
I am much happier with the clarity of my photos today. Yesterday they were grainy probably because I had left the polarising lens on and forgotten to turn it. So back tothe same spot, left it off for this time. Most of the spoonbills were sleeping except this chap. He was playing with a stick in the water. He picked it up and walked with it. Then he plopped it up and down and made a splash. Then he went to show the sleeping birds. I thought perhaps it was caught in his beak but no. I also thought it was an eel at one part. Maybe he was practising the eel catching technique. Maybe he is a young bird who wasn't ready to sleep the day away.
