Dad and Daughter Afternoon

We were supposed to go out this afternoon as a family but Alex has been unwell and, although he has perked up considerably, he didn’t feel up to a shopping trip. Unfortunately, Becky had already set her heart on spending some of her Christmas money, so Mrs W stayed to tend to Alex and I headed off shopping with Becky.

Becky enjoyed having me all to herself for the afternoon as it’s been a while since we’ve done so. As is customary, we stopped off for a tea break (I’m still off coffee) and Becky tucked into her usual hot chocolate; with marshmallows of course.

This photo was taken on my phone and, because of the poor light, it ended up as a poor quality shot but, as it was a significant part of my day, I wanted to use it rather than a manufactured photo. I used a couple of filters and a close crop to make the shot look like a paparazzi photo from the sixties, except that I don’t think they had Costa Coffee back then.
