My New Kayak-Camping Tent

The multiple days of rain during my last trip left me appreciative of the tarp my friend brought. The difficulty of setting it up...not such fond memories!

As it turns out, my Marmot Aura 2P rainfly failed during the trip, and Marmot determined the tent was faulty and offered to buy it back for full retail credit! They're a great company!

Tentwise, though, I decided to focus a bit less on weight and more on comfort. Hence...the Big Agnes Wyoming Trail SL2 has joined my collection! Huge vestibule, ginormous door, but a rather small sleeping area, even for one person (I'm 6' 1", 204#).

I received the tent yesterday, and used an empty room at the office to set it up and pretend it's spring.

First impression: WOW! Easiest tent to set up I've ever owned. You can pitch poles and rainfly quickly, and then set up the mesh sleeping area fully protected from rain!

Really looking to putting it to use!
