With “T.D.” in Adelaide

Today I attended the Adelaide edition of Tony Doherty’s Relentless Momentum seminar Australian tour. The big take home message was “learn from your mistakes, never give up and do not quit". The 4 hour seminar seemed to pass so quickly - it was simply fascinating and riveting. Thanks Tony for sharing the highs and many lows of your journey with us in a raw and totally honest way.

I have known Tony since 2001 when Paladian and I had the honour of shooting and producing the videos of his first Australian Pro Show on bodybuilding and fitness. We have done all 14 of his shows since.

Tony Doherty, known as “T.D” is on the threshold of bringing one of the most prestigious bodybuilding and sporting events in the world to Australia – The Arnold Classic Australia. The Arnold Classic is one of the world’s biggest and longest running international bodybuilding and fitness events incorporating a massive Expo. The very first Arnold Classic started in Columbus, Ohio in 1989.

Tony is now Arnold Schwarzenegger’s business partner for the Australian event to be held in early March in Melbourne. For Tony the event is the culmination of almost 40 years of persistence, patience, sacrifice and sheer hard work in refusing to give up on his dream.

Tony not only gets to stand on stage with Arnold, he also gets to realise his dream, and to share his huge Arnold Classic fitness Expo with around 60,000 Australian and NZ fans.

I will have the privilege of covering the event again in Ohio in early March  and Paladian, Ollie and I will then do the event in Australia one week later. We will be very busy afterwards, producing the DVDs from both Arnold Classics.
