Peaceful coexistence?

Not today! No way was the red-bellied woodpecker going to move over and share the seed with Mrs. Cardinal.

Heat wave! The temperature when I woke up was 1 degree Fahrenheit, but by mid-day it was a balmy 18 degrees with a wind chill of 12 degrees. This was the least wind and warmest temperature in the past week or so. Not exactly a heat wave, but warm enough that Bob and I took Gulliver for a short walk in the park. The birds were much more active today...and obviously hungry. I almost posted this for my blip because I love the line up of hungry birds, but the RBW had to have blip honors for today. Clearly she was in no mood to share, and she was very vocal about it.
