Barn Owl

Blisteringly cold wind, freezing toes, numb fingers despite gloves and one hand-warmer - (the other one had gone out). Darkness was dropping fast and I'd already taken my lens off the tripod because the light, high ISO and the distances involved were really not good.

No short-eared owls today or yesterday unfortunately but this barn owl did a very quick pass over. Well, you win some and you lose some but still lovely to see.
