Lying In Wait

This is Candy Cane. Candy is a Paws on Parole dog and today she and her 7 dog buddies had their second 'Meet & Greet' with their newly adopted families. I volunteer with the group and handle dogs for them because the inmates who train them, of course...can't. Candy is being adopted by a young couple with a baby on the way. They wanted a dog to help them raise their first child! This Academy's theme has been 'Santa Paws'...a clever one considering the season. All 8 dogs have been adopted and 'graduation' is this coming Friday.

In this photo, Candy Cane is not so patiently waiting for her new parents to arrive at the event. She was grumpy, she was barky, she was, well let's just say very unsettled.
