Please don't take my sunshine away

A work farewell to Alex tonight; he's sticking with the new job he's been trying out for size for the last year.

He'll be much missed.

We saw him off with a few beers and - unexpectedly - a little lonesome bluegrass.

I'd probably had a beer too many but there seemed at one point to be a very appropriate and gentle sing along to 'You are my sunshine'. Nice.
