Solway tides

Took a trip to the Solway firth today, the tide tables suggested that the tide would be on the turn by 10 am, but even at 11 it was still well in. We spent some time working with the waves and long exposures until the tide ebbed after lunch, leaving us with great sand patterns for the afternoon.

And for those who are wondering, yes, we did stop at Wellingtons ice cream shop on the way home!
