Gulliver's Birthday

An early morning of present opening and breakfast together before school, Gulli loved all his presents and cards.
We got him a hovering football which he asked for which proved a big hit When his friends came over!
He also got loads of money, a fountain pen, a magnetic floating globe, a kite, a Newton's cradle, some Adventure time figures in cool tins, a pacman alarm clock, a dressing gown, books, games and chocolate!!! 
I baked a Victoria Sponge which is Gulliver's favourite cake and listened to bbc4extra while I was making it, there was a programme by Midge Ure on the music scene that came out of Glasgow in the 80s which was really interesting.
Gulli's friends Louis (bottom left), Owen next to him, Anthony on the right of Gulli and Lucas came back after school and played with the football, played zombies, played with the nerf guns, ate pizza and crisps, drank lemonade and ate cake! 
The Birthday Cake had a generous sprinkling of icing sugar on top and when Gulli blew out the candles the air seemed to explode briefly which combined with the smoke machine Max had on and the lighting was quite alarming!  No eyebrows were singed…
Lucas and Louis were picked up about 6.45 and then we watched some Black Books and some IT Crowd and then played Absolute Balderdash. Anthony and Owen are staying over and Zebedee very kindly gave up his room so they could all sleep in there together :)
