Aye of the Storm
Kicked in good time at the back of midnight; car and house alarms going off everywhere, lightning, icy water running down the street between glaciers of slush. Woke up to garden furniture not where it was last night and the covers for the same nowhere to be seen. But, it settled, and it was as still as this in between for most of the day. Wind's picking up again, and the rain's battering, but nothing like last night. And it looks like that's the story for the weekend.
But, we're tucked up indoors with no plans, we've got plenty essentials (a roof, grape juice, bacon flavoured maize-based snacks, Netflix) so we're sorted, and barely a measurable amount of shit will be given to all the brouhaha being blawn aboot the blawin' aboot.
PS: that small circle in the middle of the pic is a life preserver that normally sits a few metres back from the edge of the river. A bit redundant today.
