Tea at the University

I had never been to the Victoria Gallery and Museum, even though it is in Liverpool University's oldest building. It was substantially renovated and opened to the public in 2008 as a part of the City's Capital of Culture celebrations. On the ground floor there is a magnificent tea room, and the upper floors are equally memorable with exhibits that include paintings by John James Audobon who came to Liverpool in 1826 and received support for his Birds of America, an original version of which is to be found in the Central Library.

Apologies for my failure to respond to comments etc. of late. Will try to catch up over the weekend.
