Mephisto

Cold and dull outside!  Warm and bright indoors - thus the indoor closeup!  I saw the film 'Mephisto' in German a few weeks ago and have just gotten round to reading the book in English - in Paperback just to make a change from Kindle LOL!  Mainly set in Europe in the 1930s the power structure doesn't seem to have changed much since then - full of turncoats and power freaks.  Actually I hadn't meant the depth of field to be as shallow but when I found this one amongst my many attempts I thought somehow it depicted the evilness of Mephisto more than if the book cover was sharp all over.
