Big Day

I think today is a big Blip birthday - at least, I was told it was in an email.  I know it's nearly five years and I would like to say thank you to everyone who has made my blip journey such a pleasure

I love seeing your photos, following your adventures and sharing important moments in your lives.

I feel that you are real friends - and I know that is true when I am lucky enough to share a blipmeet.  There have been several - thank you.

Blip has made me notice the world around me.  Blip has helped improve
my photography (though today's snap isn't a true testament to that !). Blip has acted as a diary, a discipline, a hobby, a means of communication.

I love what Blip has offered and I'm not giving that up easily.  I do hope that we can all adjust to the changes (and that Blip central will reply to my query at some point)

Thank you for your encouragement, your stars, your hearts, and especially your friendship.

Today has underlined the drama of life.

The weatherman said it would be severely windy. I was due to go to Tatton Park with one of my best friends but as the hurricane hadn't started, we set off and met up.

It was clear and really quite nice when I arrived (the photo is a shot I took from the car, illegally stopping on the drive but I couldn't resist the herd)

We had a lovely walk.  We sampled the new Gardener's Cottage tea room (total seal of approval). When we headed out, it was raining. We had a lovely lunch at a local pub - and my journey home was torrential and I left the M6 at Trentham and used the back roads.

All this was against the backdrop of the news from France.  My thoughts and prayers go to everyone at this difficult time, when friendships and relationships will be tested. Instant communication makes history into live drama - it's scary.

Let us all pray for peace and harmony - and cherish those who mean a lot to us.
