Porty People and Places

The gales, even in the sheltered south Scotland, were, noisily strong in the early hours of this morning. Garden furniture all along our street had taken a particular hammering.

Scotrail suspended all trains until mid morning.

The Forth Road Bridge was closed - to all vehicles - for only the fourth time in its 50 years of operation. (Thanks Pleach for this info.)

The events in the environs of Paris continue to challenge us all.

Today we were able to escape here and compliment our walking and running regimes with some re-newed swimming and gym activity.
