Lichen Patterns

Took a break from reading for my essay and domesticity to walk with Rosie onto the mountain, the ' great wall of Glenlough' as we have nicknamed it has a wealth of different lichens on it's massive stones. Sometimes the patterns of their growth look like field systems viewed from above or country borders on a map!
