Wool squishing

I did a wee experiment when I dyed this wool, following a video tutorial I found online that explained how to "break" purple food colouring. What was supposed to happen was that the red would "crash out" (whatever that means!) and dipping the wool bit by bit would cause the longest dipped bit to be a dark purply blue fading to a pale aqua blue. I ended up with purply blue at the bottom leading to pale purple to even paler pink. Not sure yet if I like it, but Rhona clearly does, hugging it at any opportunity!
