Ladies who lunch

I can't believe that today, for the first time in my 44 years, I became one of the above! We all need a little time out occasionally and I took some today and went for lunch with my friend at the local Dobbies. I had no idea how popular this lunching malarchy is - the place was heaving for most of the two hours that we were there. The average age of the clientele was probably 65, but it was still a very pleasurable experience.

After finishing our lunch and our chat, we had a little mooch around the shop. Well you can't really go to Dobbies ( a huge garden centre for those of you who have never heard of it) without having a mooch, can you? It was whilst mooching that we spotted a really unusual water feature with a big brass ball at the bottom and wicker-type swirls coming out the top. I tried to photograph it at different angles but none of the pictures really do it justice which is a shame as it was really unusual and a snip at £300 (!!!!!!!). I've added an effect which I think accentuates the textures on it but it's a little dark.
