this is my friend Ross.  He works at the Amon Carter museum where Avedon's In the American West series is housed (the museum commissioned it in the late 70s).  He gets to travel around the country (and the world) delivering and picking up art, exchanging pieces for display between museums.  His stories are amazing, really one-of-a-kind.  And his access to free books ain't so bad either.
